10 reasons to use Google Adsense: Review
This is my review of Google Adsense for publishers. I have included 10 reasons to use Adsense instead of other advertising companies, and that’s what I am going to start with in this post.
Pros of Google Adsense:
- You do not have to sell the space, therefore you don’t have to wait a year before someone buys a link.
- Google scans your website and displays content which is relevant to your content, thus more people will click on the links.
- Advertisers pay very high rates (some more than others). You can receive $0.5-$1 for just 1 click.
- Adsense offers video units where you get paid if someone watches videos on your website which are related to your content.
- Your account can be used on many different websites. If you have a blog at Blogger.com (Blogspot) then you can use your Google account for both advertising and posting, thus it is much quicker.
- The servers are very quick. The ads load extremely fast, and when you click on them, it takes a split second to record (unlike other sites which can take up to 10 seconds)!
- You can create advance reports to see how much money you have earned using Adsense.
- Google don’t mind if you make $5 a month! You don’t have to be a big-time, 10,000 click-a-day website in order to use Google!
- Most countries are accepted. Some advertising companies only display ads in your region. Although Google does not display languages in other languages (because that would just be plain stupid), someone from the US can click on UK ads.
- Your account updates quickly, so you can see how much you have made within the last few hours (unlike some sites which are updated MANUALLY or take about 1 day).
Of course, a review would be nothing without posting the few cons of the website.
Cons of Google Adsense:
- Minimum of $100 before payout. Although Google doesn’t mind if you spend 3 years making this sum, it can get quite annoying. The only way to get it out is to close your account… so I suppose it is a google thing that they let you take your cash out if you are closing your account, instead of stealing your money!
- Payout is once a month. This means if you get $100 you have to wait between 1-2 months for your cheque to come.
- The only method of payment is cheque, otherwise you are charged for bank transfer.
- If you get no clicks, you make no money, even though Google is taking up your ad space.
In the future, there might be other pros and cons of Google Adsense, although I believe it is the BEST advertising company out there for publishers (and most advertisers alike).
